The 2016 GP3 calendar has been released this week, which features a 10-venue round which kicks off in Barcelona in May and finishes in Abu Dhabi in November.
13-15 May – Barcelona, Spain
01-03 July – Spielberg, Austria
08-10 July – Silverstone, Great-Britain
22-24 July – Budapest, Hungary
29-31 July – Hockenheim, Germany
26-28 August – Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
02-04 September – Monza, Italy
30 Sep – 02 October – Sepang, Malaysia
25-27 November – Yas Marina, UAE
This will be the first time the new GP3-15 chassis will take to the circuit in a racing capacity, after three test sessions that are scheduled for 22nd – 24th March, 07th – 08th April and 20th – 21st April. The car also did a shakedown last week in Magny-Cours, with numerous teams taking to the wet track to test the cars ahead of the season.
