Force India Forced To Sit Out of Practice Two After Perez Crash

Force India have been forced to sit out of todays second Practice session, after Sergio Perez suffered a rear suspension failure during the morning session which sent the Mexican into a barrel roll on the straight leading to turn 12.

The incident occurred an hour into the session, and it is believed that the right rear tow rod broke, which sent the rear right tyre out of alignment and angled his car towards the inside barrier, where he made contact with the front end. The front right wheel then detached from the car, which pitched the car into the air and barrel rolling one before coming to a stop on the roll hoop section.

Perez escaped unharmed, however the team have elected to sit out todays afternoon session until they understand what went wrong, and send both drivers back out onto the circuit again.
