Grosjean Suffers Hydraulics Leak In Qualifying

Romain Grosjean suffered a hydraulics leak which stopped him from setting a time during the final part of Qualifying today.

Grosjean reported a fault with his brake-by-wire system at the start of Q3, with the team instructing him to pit despite him saying it was fixed over the team radio. The leak did get fixed according to Grosjean, however it was not in time for him to get back out to set a lap time.

As a result he ended up P10 ahead of teammate Pastor Maldonado – which turns into P9 after Kvyat’s engine penalty is applied – however after seeing his times from Practice there was some evidence to suggest that the Lotus could’ve got in with the Williams and Ferrari of Sebastien Vettel.
