GP3 Series and IndyLights driver Carmen Jorda will become Lotus F1’s development driver. Jorda, who has a career best finish of 13th in GP3 will be working closely with the team on development of the E23 Hybrid and plans on driving the car before the year is out.
“Joining Lotus F1 Team is a big step towards my goal. I will be working to improve myself as a driver as well as helping the team to develop the car by testing new developments in the simulator; it’s such a fantastic opportunity,” said Jorda. Lotus F1 Team CEO Matthew Carter said “We have a strong programme for her attending Grands Prix as well as extensive time in our sophisticated simulation facility at Enstone.”
