Max Chilton and Alex Buncombe will race in Nissan’s GT-R LM NISMO in this years World Endurance Championship. The former Marussia F1 driver who is currently eying IndyCar in America alongside his WEC endeavours, said “My aim has always been to race at the highest level and the technology that has gone into the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO is as impressive as a Formula 1 car.”
Alongside Chilton, Nissan GT driver Alex Buncombe has also been announced as the final driver in the additional GT-R LM that will contest this years 24 hours of Le Mans, joining Tsugio Matsude and Lucas Ordonez. Chilton meanwhile will pair up with Marc Gene, Olivier Pla, Harry Tincknell, and Jann Mardenborough in Nissan’s full-season WEC team.
Both will be testing the GT-R LM NISMO this week at Sebring, with the first round of WEC set to take place on the 12th April next month.
